 | Defense attorneys by definition represent employers rather than employees. It is good practice for defense attorneys to be aware of wage and hour laws so as not to give incorrect advice to clients. But far more critically, defense firms are themselves employers, and owner-managed businesses in particular, which may pose similar problems to those suffered by employers in general. This session discusses recent wage and hour lawsuits against law firms and provides an overview of key areas including the Fair Labor Standards Act and the NC Wage and Hour Act. The speaker also provides compliance strategies and recommendations. | Formats Available: Streaming
